The Load on the Cloud

The Internet of Things
based on LoRaWAN®
Protocol

Load Cells designed mainly for exhibition halls and all other applications where constant monitoring of hundreds of loads is required, even over large distances

Hanging large structures from trade fair ceilings has been an established trend for many years.
Almost all exhibition centers set load limitations for each individual ceiling hanging point. It is clear that without load measurements, no one is able to define exactly how much weight is attached to each single point.

Wireless load cells are the simplest and most precise answer to this need.

In an exhibition hall there can be many “nodes” that read the applied load. They can be hundreds, even thousands. They must be accessible via several devices, even at the same time.

CLOUD OPERATING – IoT LINE

The IoT Line is natively built on the Cloud, following the Internet of Things trend. Each cell measures the associated load and transmits on average every 3 minutes to the Cloud via Gateways, following the LoRaWAN® standard.
This solution is suitable for managing hundreds of load cells or other sensors. The main purpose is to keep loads monitored over large areas with many hanging points (such as fairs or museums) in order to compare the hanging loads with the structural limits of the building.

ALL PROTECTED, ALL SIMPLE

A Magnetic Key for switching on and off. The switch is a fully sealed magnetic reed. All on-board electronics are miniaturized and simply powered by 2 x CR123 batteries. No tools are needed to access the batteries, just unscrew the cap. The impact-resistant polycarbonate shell is semi-transparent to see the RGB multifunction LED.

THE GRAPHIC USER INTERFACE

Built to manage multiple events at the same time.

Each event is divided into Halls, each Hall is made up of Stands, and each Stand includes its own cells or other end nodes.

Cells can be in the same building, in adjacent buildings or even in different geographical locations.

Available in any device, anywhere

For each cell the user can configure over-load and under-load limits. The portal allows you to manually position the cells on a PDF map of a pavilion for a quick identification of any critical point. Each cell that exceeds the load limits is immediately reported within the portal, or via email if required.

For each cell, various parameters are reported, including the battery level. Each cell has a unique serial code and the data of the entire life of the cell are stored in the portal and can be recalled for analysis and statistical graphs.

The data are refreshed approximately every 3 minutes. The solution with IoT cells is the most suitable for load management in a trade fair. Transmitting data more frequently would become unmanageable in case of hundreds of active cells.

The Flexa IoT line is based on the LoRaWAN® network protocol, a worldwide connectivity solution.
Only a robust and well-proven network protocol can monitor thousands of points over large areas.
More information on LoRa Alliance WEB site

LoRaWAN® is a Low Power, Wide Area Network (LPWAN) protocol designed to wirelessly connect battery operated ‘things’ to the internet in regional, national or global networks.

Its star-of-stars network architecture allows to simultaneously preserve battery life and achieve long-range connectivity.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

The storage and handling of many load cells at the same time are issues that deserve the utmost attention.

Being efficient and organized allows you to react quickly. Our experience tells us that each operator chooses his own management method.

We want to collaborate with our customers to find the solution that best suits their style.
