It was necessary to combine the wireless load cell lines with a wired connection system. Wired systems have the advantage of being constantly active and allow automatic responses in safety interventions. These devices can be installed anywhere, without the worries of radio coverage and the limitations of battery life.

FLEXA SENSORS AND EXE TECHNOLOGY

The design of Flexa Dynacell combined with EXE LC-NLP technology based on wired environments is our solution for safe load control.

The Network Load Processor is the central unit connecting up to 16 peripheral cells per unit. The wired mode, with instant intervention in case of emergency, is the most advanced solution for the safety of loads.

CABLE LOAD CELL DYNACELL 500Kg

Compact aluminum cell for loads up to 500Kg. with 8:1 safety factor. Fully recessed 5-pole XRL plug. Great precision and extremely easy to handle in only 300g of weight and 12cm of height between center holes.

CABLE LOAD CELL DYNACELL 5000Kg

Compact stainless-steel cell for loads up to 5000Kg. with an 8:1 safety factor. Fully recessed 5-pole XRL plug. It weighs less than 1kg with 120mm of height between center holes.

THE NETWORK LOAD PROCESSOR (NLP) UNIT

It is the Central Unit for the management of the wired network. It can control up to 16 cells, each with its own XRL cable, and has the emergency stop output to the controllers.

It’s a point-to-point star wiring connection. Each unit is connected directly to the NLP, in case of malfunctions to a cable, all other connections remain active.

A color TFT display on the front shows the loads of each cell and by cell group. The unit processes the data and manages the output information. The unit is autonomous and can therefore work without a PC.

PROCESS MONITORING

With the LC-NLP software, you can set the operating parameters of the system, either by groups of cells or by individual cells. The PC can be connected directly to the NLP or Ethernet Switch module.

The interfaces on the PC help the operator in data management but are not strictly necessary for the operation of the system that remains always active.

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

The NLP system includes several solutions.

The suspended loads can be read by the single Dynacell or by the EXE RISE hoists equipped with the LC-H2T CELL HOOK module with integrated load cell. The use of Dynacell can be associated with both EXE RISE hoists and with third party brand hoists.

Two ways of use: a solution with load monitoring only, without active safety circuit.
The second option is in Safety Loop mode, with the addition of a DL SERIES EXE DRIVE controller.

LOAD MONITORING MODE

The LC-NLP Central Unit and the PC will show the status of the loads, with the incoming signal from the load cells.

This mode is intended to keep load data controlled without providing any active safety intervention. It is especially suitable in the case of permanent installations in which there is a need to rely on the constant reading of data, without the limit of the battery life or where it is not possible to install wireless systems.

LOAD MONITORING + SAFETY LOOP MODE

The LC-NLP Central Unit acts as a manager of incoming load data from the cells. In case of anomalies (e.g., overload), the Safety Loop circuit is activated for immediate cutting of the power supply to the hoists.

Each LC-NLP unit is connected to up to 16 Dynacell EXE Cell cells, each with its own XRL 5 cable.
The maximum guaranteed distance is 100m (328ft).

The LC-NLP Unit connects with HW cable E-STOP1 to the controllers of the entire EXE DRIVE DL SERIES (Linkable) for automatic emergency stop activation. An additional clean contact output can control e-stops of other nature, such as lighting devices or other motors.

Load data and control of the entire process are available on a PC connected via an Ethernet cable to the LC-NLP unit. With the Ethernet Switch module, you can add a second LC-LNP Unit to control up to 32 cells per plant.

There is a continuous wired connection between the load cells, the Central Unit, the EXE DRIVE DL Controller, and the hoists

When the LC-NLP Unit receives an overload or underload data from the cell, it instantly activates communication to the controller that interrupts the power supply to the hoist.

The hoist of any brands, if compatible with the power supply output from the controller, can be part of this loop.
